Hi, I'm trying to run DrumMachine.exe but it crashes everytime during startup, showing Windows XP's "DrumMachine.exe has encountered a problem..." dialog box. I never get to the GUI. It could be related to the web cam because if I don't connect it I get much further. It's a Logitech Webcam, but I don't know the exact model (it's a clip-on for laptops). This is what the startup shows:1 devices RtApiAsio::getDeviceInfo: error (Invalid input parameter.) getting driver channe l info (Adobe Default Windows Sound).
ch.: 2 out; 2 in; 2 duplex. rates: 11025; 22050; 32000; 44100; 48000; 88200 ; 96000; 0 selected 0 selected RtApiAsio::getDeviceInfo: error (Invalid input parameter.) getting driver channe l info (Adobe Default Windows Sound). RtApiAsio::getDeviceInfo: error (Invalid input parameter.) getting driver channe l info (Adobe Default Windows Sound). sample rate: 96000 RtApiAsio::getDeviceInfo: error (Invalid input parameter.) getting driver channe l info (Adobe Default Windows Sound). Would appreciate any help. Let me know if I can provide more info. |

Hello storpotaten. Thanks for the information. From what you write it may be a sound card problem. What sound card do you have? Can you please run the configurator and try to select a different sound card, and maybe even a different audio driver? (right now you are using "ASIO", you should be able to select "DirectSound") |

Thanks for replying. According to MSInfo32, the sound card is a "Realtek High Definition Audio". The driver is rtkhdaud.sys version 5.10.00.5122. It's a Sony VAIO laptop, maybe four or five years old. Guided by your question I also ran DxDiag and clicked the "Test DirectSound" button on the Sound tab. All tests passed. Hardware acceleration is currently set to "Basic acceleration". |

... and I have to learn how to read complete posts. ;) Hang on, I will try DirectSound instead of ASIO. |

I selected DirectSound instead of ASIO in the D-touch configurator, but I get the same error messages, hinting that ASIO is still used. Also tried switching Audio Output from "Primary Sound Driver" to "RealTek HD Audio output", no difference. The webcam has a built-in microphone. Could there be a conflict between audio inputs? Perhaps it means nothing, but it does almost start without the webcam connected. What I get is this: 1 devices
stream started This is interrupted by pop-ups saying audio input is not activated and finally that no video capture was detected. And then an additional Window about sockets opened (?). |

we have updated the drum machine versions, can you redownload and check if the problem is still there? |

Thanks, Still crashes, but in a different way, now with "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library" dialog box: "This application has requested the Runtime to terminate in an unusual way. ..." The console output is the same as the one in my first post above - i.e. multiple "RtApiAsio::getDeviceInfo: error (Invalid input parameter.)". I tried different settings in the configurator - ASIO vs. DirectSound and Realtek driver vs. Primary Sound driver - but I get the same results. I borrowed this laptop over vacations, which ends tomorrow, so I won't be able to test here anymore. Will try it on my VAIO at home, but it is a more recent version and I don't think I have Adobe ASIO on it. |

Hello This is a bug of the drum-machine which has to do with the driver selection. If the drum-machine finds asio drivers on your system, it will automatically selects them whatever the configurator tells. This bug will be fixed in the upcoming version of the drum-machine. Video device selection will be also there. Thank you for helping us to find this bug and improve the drum-machine! |

Thanks, that's good news. Can't reproduce the problem with my home Vaio. It has an "ASIO STDHA Driver" which seems to work fine. Will try the next d-touch version with that other Vaio whenever I get the chance. Thanks. |

We just released version 0.3 of the drum machine. You can now select which webcam to use from the configurator. This may solve some of the problems reported here. Please let us know if that's the case! |

Hi, I think this is somewhat similar to the above. I am running an Dell XPS M1710 with XP Pro v.2002 Service Pack 3 and 2.5 G RAM My system crashes everytime(blue-screen) if I have the camera connected (QuickCam for Notebooks Deluxe) but it happens so rapidly that I have no time to read the messages. If camera is not connected I get the following:A Dynamic link library (DLL) initalization routine failed, this right after the following: "stream started processAudio: output underflow streamTime: 0.02322 Logged Inm valid account. Start the DTSServer application" Any help will be much appreciated. |

I just noticed that the title of the error window says: Couldn't bind moniker to filter object! (this is when no camera is connected) |
